Now that I've spent a little more time with Scoop.it I'm even more excited about my choice. I like that Scoop.it easily allows me to add content from a wide variety of sources that it searches AND I can add my own content easily as well. This will be especially helpful as curating data and research information is a little more academic in nature than some of my other areas of interest. Being able to easily add my own information is a great feature, and it will also help others with similar areas of interest.
Looking through the magazines of my colleagues and classmates has provided me with more insight on great curation techniques. I'm going to put some of those into use as I move forward gathering information for a variety of purposes. I've amassed some rather large depositories of lesson ideas and book connections. I now see some much better ways to add value through curation and annotation so I will be able to use and not just collect ideas.
I've started Scoop.it collections for
Coding Club/Tech Club and
LibraryLessons
